The Free State Open is held on behalf of the Fencing Federation of South Africa and it is a national ranking competition. The competition includes events in Epee, Foil and Sabre across 3 age categories – Cadet, Junior and Senior. The competition is open to all licenced FFSA fencers.
This event is qualification cut off for Senior African Championships & Senior World Championships.
