The 2017 Junior National Championships will be hosted by Gauteng Province at the Orlando East Communal Hall, Soweto on 4th and 5th February 2017. Fencers must be in possession of a 2017 FFSA Licence. This can be purchased by your provincial administrators (R350 per fencer per year).
The competition is a selection cut-off event for the Junior World Championships (U17 and U20) to be held in Plovdiv, in Bulgaria from the 1 to 10th April 2017.
This competition is the only FFSA competition of the year where U11, U13 and U15 events are competed, as well as the usual U 17 and U20 age categories.
